I was researching weightloss options one day and I stumbled onto the HCA power's website. A few days later they called me (I didn't fill out any forms so I don't know how they got my phone number) and offered to try a free one month trial of the HCA power liquid for only $4.99 for shipping. The lady on the phone explained to me that I could cancel within 30 days of receiving the product, and that will prevent any additional charges to my card after the month is up. I repeatedly asked her "So I can cancel at any time without being charged an additional $49 (i think it was $49) for the next month?" and she resonded "yes, we are so sure you will love the product that you can cancel at any time within 30 days and you won't be charged again". However, this was not true. This was just a salesperson tactic to get me to trust her with my debit card number.

So right after I recieved the product I immediately called the number she gave me to cancel my "subscription" (From the very beginning I didn't want to have to pay the $100 for the rest of the months). I stated that I wanted to cancel my subscription before my card got charged extra. The lady then replied "You cannot cancel the subscription now, you have to wait until you recieve all 3 months of the HCA power because you are on the 90 day plan". I had never signed up for this 90 day plan. I then stated that the salesperson told me I could cancel at any time and she replied, "Well that isn't true, our salespeople are trained to read you our contract for the 90 day plan". This pushed me over the edge. Never did the salesperson read me any type of contract about a 90 day plan and I never signed an "audio approval of my signature".

I explained to her that my debit card was linked to my job I just quit and that I didn't even have $49 on it. She stated that I'd have to give them another card then and I said no. I proceded to hang up because she started giving me attitude and yelling at me very unprofessional-like. No way was I going to pay for something I didn't even want, it didn't even work! I got lucky because my card ended up being canceled and I never got charged for the extra months. I received an email saying that my payment wasn't received and I wasn't going to receive the other months but I ignored it, and since then I haven't been contacted by those scammers.

Long story short- DON'T FALL FOR IT. I definitely learned my lesson, it was a close one. Don't give your credit card information over the phone, they could use it for anything. I got lucky. Reading all these stories on this website about how others got scammed out of at least $100 made me mad enough to write my own ripoff report. THEY ARE SCAMMERS.
