Do not buy a Helett Packard product from anyone except H.P.

If you do, they treat you like a non-customer.
Purchased a new computer And printer from Dell.
Got everything hooked up and the printer wouldn't work.
Contacted Dell, Went through the installation process and
it still didn't function. They informed me "Dell, Wont
send me another(even though I pruchased it through them), Call Hewlett Packard. Only having a small amount of time at home during the evening to make calls, It had to wait a couple of days.

E-mailed H.P. with problem. They told me to do all this testing that had nothing to do with the problem. Did them anyway before I called, still not working. 2nd e-mail, was replied with"please call a cust rep". No toll free #.

Now I have to pay.

Called them Spent 45 min. on the phone doing test and reinstalling this and that. The best thing they
could tell me was ink cart's prob. dried up on shelf. They sent me new cart's after I refused to buy new cart's for a non-working printer. also asked them to send me a new power cable that was currenty being recalled. (cust serv rep had no idea, what I was talking about.). Recd. new cart's. Followed inst. and still didn't work. Had to make another call.

The new person wanted to me to doo all the tests over again, because my printer is out of warranty. (?).(apparetly It sat on Dell's shelf too long).
After another 45 min. they agreed to send me a second printer after i gave them a c.c.# in case they got it, it works and they were going to charge me for a second printer becuase I originally bought it from Dell. So 2.5 months later I finally have a new printer,a huge phone bill and a bad relationship With H.P.
p.s. Its a shame because its a really good printer, And does a nice job.
