Hotels.com is allowing non-hotels to pretend to be hotels on the their website.

I made a reservation on hotels.com that was actually a real estate company. The real estate company mislead consumers as to the options of the property.  Hotels.com is competing with air BNB, and is letting non-hotels operate on their website.    It tiurns out that the real owners of the property have contacted hotels.com to compain and request changes and hotels.com refused.  Hotels.com cancelled my reservation and refunded money, but will not provide any compensatation for problems on vacation.
