There is a HUGE investigation going on regarding the House of Brides. The Illinois Attorney General is aware that the House of Brides takes their sweet time getting you money put back on your credit card if your order can't be filled.

People would call over and over and ask "Where is my refund?" when they took the money right away; but now you have to wait to get the money put back on your credit card. You can't use your card because all that money is tied up on something you didn't receive! AND you're paying interst on that money!

The owners hang onto the money and use it as a line of credit.

Finally penetrates the thick skull!

AUTHOR: Resources - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, August 24, 2010

Dale Buziecki must have had a moment of clarity.   The BBB label boasting that House of Brides has an A+ rating has been removed from the website.

So glad to see that Dale Buziecki sought the help he needed to resolve this issue.

Dale Buziecki really believes he has an A+ Rating with the BBB? LOL!

AUTHOR: Resources - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, August 12, 2010

I suppose it is possible that Dale Buziecki owner of House of Brides truly believes he has an A+ rating with the BBB.

Maybe he's told the lie so many times he actually believes his own lie.

Dale Buziecki should seek help with his problem.  Rational, normal thinking people can see that the BBB offers no rating for House of Brides dot com.

Misleading or psychiatric disorder?

still can't find the so-called A+ rating on the BBB site - where is it?

AUTHOR: Resources - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, August 02, 2010

Checked the BBB site again today and continue to wonder where the A+ rating is.  Still shows no rating but house of brides dot come continues to claim they have an A+ rating.

Does the BBB approve of Dale Buziecki's misleading claim?

BBB Reliability Report for

House of Brides World's Largest Online Wedding Store Inc.

BBB Rating NO RATING

BBB issues Reliability Reports on all businesses, whether or not they are BBB accredited. If a business is a BBB Accredited Business, it is stated in this report.

BBB's information on this company is being updated, and no report is available at this time.

House of Brides website boasts that they have an A+ rating with the BBB but when I fact check this the above is the only claim the BBB makes. NO RATING does not equate to A+ rating does it?

I've checked the BBB site for the past 3 days and I am unable to find an A+ rating.  I'll keep checking.

I'm no lawyer but I think I get the jist of this opinion of the court

AUTHOR: Resources - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, July 06, 2010

While I worked at House of Brides the website was selling "Compare to Davids Bridal" dresses.  It was my understanding that Dale Buziecki and his marketing team created the title for this collection of dresses.

Apparently, Davids Bridal (New Jersey) is suing House of Brides.  In part a summary:

This case arises from a dispute between two competitors in the retail bridal business. Defendants are The House of Brides, Inc. and House of Brides World's Largest "On-Line" Wedding Store, Inc. (collectively, "Defendants" or "HOB"). Plaintiffs are David's Bridal, Inc. and DBD, Inc. (collectively, "Plaintiffs" or "DBD"). In brief, HOB owns and operates a commercial website (the "HOB Website") for the retail sale of bridal gowns under the domain name www.houseofbrides.com. DBD owns and operates 305 DAVID'S BRIDAL retail stores in the United States.

On November 28, 2006, DBD filed a Complaint against HOB in this Court and, subsequently, a Second Amended Complaint which asserts seven claims. In short, these claims relate to allegations that HOB sold dresses that were copies of dresses sold by DBD and infringed DBD's trademarks and copyrights.

On January 21, 2009, HOB filed a Third-Party Complaint ("TPC") against Emme, alleging that Emme supplied it with the dresses at issue. The TPC asserts two claims: 1) breach of warranty of title and against infringement; and 2) implied indemnity. On October 1, 2009, Emme filed its instant motion for summary judgment.

THE OPINION STATES FURTHER THAT DALE BUZIECKI'S AFFIDAVIT CLAIMS THAT EMME WAS AWARE OF THE SUIT DAVIDS BRIDAL VS HOUSE OF BRIDES. THE OPINION REFERS TO DALE BUZIECKI'S AFFIDAVIT AS A SHAM AFFIDAVIT ( indicates only that the affiant cannot maintain a consistent story or is willing to offer a statement solely for the purpose of defeating summary judgment. A sham affidavit cannot raise a genuine issue of fact because it is merely a variance from earlier deposition testimony, and therefore no reasonable jury could rely on it to find for the non-movant.)

OUTCOME:
This Court has determined that HOB failed to give Emme the required notice. Pursuant to 2-607(3)(b), HOB is barred from "any remedy [] for liability established by the litigation." This forecloses any and every possible claim for indemnification, since indemnification requires that liability be established by the litigation. No matter how the indemnification claim were to be repled, it would be barred under the Illinois U.C.C. As to the second count of the TPC, Emme's motion for summary judgment will be granted, and judgment will be entered in Emme's favor.

IN SHORTAND MY OPINION: Dale Buziecki tried to blame Emma for his "Compare to Davids Bridal" trademark and copyright infringements.

Sentence for tax cheat: Provide free prom dresses

| UPDATED STORY

A bridal shop owner has been ordered to play fairy godmother to hundreds of teenage girls as restitution for cheating on his company's sales tax returns.

Dale Buziecki, 64, president and owner of House of Brides Inc., pleaded guilty Monday in Cook County to filing fraudulent sales tax returns for his stores in Glen Ellyn, Norridge, Schaumburg, Oak Lawn and Chicago.

As part of his punishment, the Wheaton man was ordered to donate 500 formal dresses a year for the next three years to the Glass Slipper Project, a nonprofit that collects and distributes prom outfits for Chicago-area high school students who can't afford them.

"The state will recover the sales tax owed and, through the required community service, many young women who want to attend their high school prom will have that opportunity," Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan said in a written statement.

Criminal investigators with the Illinois Department of Revenue estimate that the tax scofflaw overstated deductions and underreported more than $5 million in sales from November 2005 through June 2006. Buziecki could not be reached for comment.

The court also ordered him to serve 30 months probation, pay a roughly $280,000 fine and perform 250 hours of community service.

Family members jumping ship during investigation

AUTHOR: Resources - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, June 29, 2010

Since there is an ongoing investigation regarding House of Brides I thought I would add this bit of info:

Jason Buziecki (Warrenville, IL) no longer works at hob. He used to be the shipping manager. Google lists his address.

Alisa Buziecki Goss (married to Laurance Goss) recently adopted a baby and no longer works at hob. She was the website Director of Operations.

These family members (Son & Daughter of Dale & Eva Buziecki) should be investigated as well since they did participate in the unscrupulous if not criminal behavior at hob while I worked there.

Ashley Buziecki (student) has had limited connections to hob.  She did model some dresses posted on he website and at one time used the name Ashley Bree when trying to sell Mary Kay products on the website.

Currently, Michelle Buziecki Barnas is very involved with the website department as she is married to Dan Barnas the new Director of Operations. Michelle sells jewelry on the website. (Michelana Designs)  Michelle and Dan are last known to live in Chicago.

Extremely loyal but not family to the Buziecki's are:

Megan Bremmer (she's recently married so her name may have changed) works as the website administrator.  She will lie for the Buziecki's for a quarter.

Marlene Eggers aka Pat Weiner will lie for a quarter as well.

Ralph Eggers - building maintenance. Retired postal worker who works at all stores for cash.

Joan Willems website manager, goes along with anything Dale Buziecki tells her to go along with.  She lives in Shiller Park, IL.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need more.

I don't know who you are but I wish I did.

I contacted every official I could think of back in 08 and was told these things take time.  Maybe it's time that I contact them again.

If you want to post your email address go post it on yelp.  On yelp you can even send messages to posters.  I'd love to discuss this with you.
