These people are liars, I did my research. I know that I owe them money but I asked them not to call me and they said that only applies in Wisconsin, and I stated not true, I did research on FTC and they checked with the law in Illinois and I will be sending you a letter to stop calling me and she said that they can call me any time they want and no letter is going to stop them. I sent the letter today and filed a complaint with the FTC and now with Rip-Off.

Confused....

This is a credit card I had from Dell, I called Dell to explain my financial situation to them and they told me that there should be no company calling me about this bill but Dell, they said that they never gave my account to an outside colection agency. I said if that is the case why do I keep getting letters and phone calls from this company? And they couldn't tell me they weren't sure.... I also wanted to say that I did send this company a letter to not contact me again, unless through mail and they have complied.

I didn't know that they could only call once a day thank you for that maybe I will be able to keep my phone on. When they call I don't answer the phone. They are not leaving any voice mails, I programed my phone with the number to tell me who is calling. Some companies that I have dealt with have stopped calling due to a verbal request, this one would not.

CALLS

Unless you talk to them they can call you as many times a day as they want to until they talk to you. Then they can speak to you once a day!

Quick question

When they call every half hour for you, do you answer the phone? I ask becuase once they speak with a person, they have made contact for that day. They legally can not contact you (at that number) once per day. If they are leaving VM's, they are not violating any law.
As for cease call requests, some agencies have policies that allow for a verbal request to cease calls. However, there is only one state that requires a verbal request to be treated the same as a written request, and that is Massachusetts.

They also call me every half an hours 7 days a week from 8 am to 9 pm. They call so often that I cannot even keep my cell phone turned on. I don't mean to be such a complainer, I do know that I owe them money but this is crazy. I am having health problems due to all the calls from them.
