ITunes - Apple Internet FRAUD! Internet

On 4/16/09 charges for 2 $50 online gift certificates for iTunes were charged onto my paypal account.

I contacted PayPal and iTunes immediately to inform them that these were unauthorized charges. Paypal investigated and because I had a billing agreement with iTunes, they would not credit my account and considered them authorized charges. iTunes would not help me either, apologized for the inconvenience that I was ripped off - but won't do a thing to help. I requested information of the email address these certificated were sent to - and again no help.

I then began to investigate this iTunes Fraud issue through google. I am appauled at what I have found. This has happened to thousands of people, nation wide - as well as in the UK.

Thankfully, I am only out $100 - but I have read where individuals are out $400.00 to $4,000.00.

It sikens me to hear that Apple/iTunes will not do a thing about this and it's because they are making money on this FRAUD. No one is safe at this point, if you have an iTunes account, REMOVE ALL FORMS OF PAYMENT. If you don't have an iTunes account, CHECK ALL CREDIT CARDS AND BANK STATEMENTS frequently as these theives are stealing information, setting up accounts with iTunes and purchasing online gift certificates!

And with no fraud protection from Apple/iTunes - they will continue to do this!
