ITV, Kenneth Cole, Supervisor SCAM -- unauthorized charges for newsletter which I never agreed to!! Beverly Massachusetts

I have had the same experience as several other unfortunate people who called to order the Natural Cures book from Kevin Trudeau. I DID NOT agree to the $9.95 a month charge for the newsletter, and called to get my money back. They would only refund two out of 10 months so I wrote a letter to the supervisor and never received a response. I then contacted the BBB and filed a complaint. They refunded two more months but said that I did agree to the newsletter and that they had recording of the order.

I found it funny that there had been no mention of this recording in all the other times I had contacted them about this. I called to hear the recording and it clearly said that my order included a FREE 30-day trial to the website, and nothing was said about paying $9.95 if I didn't want it.

The girl on the phone told me that by saying "okay" after that was said to me, that that was considered my agreeing to it!!! I said no way, she only told me I was getting a 30-day free trial, so I said okay; I NEVER said I would pay $9.95 every month for it. She said that the materials which outline that were included in the package and if I didn't read it that was not their problem. I do have that sheet, and it gives instructions on how to log-in for the free 30-day trial, THEN says after 30 days you can cancel. However, that means that if you do not log-in, you have not agreed to the 30-day trial at all!!!

I told her that it was a complete SCAM and that if they were basing their sales on deception and trickery and then trying to justify it by saying that they gave us the information but we just didn't read it properly, then that is not an ethical way to do business. In all this time no manager was put on the phone. She also told me that they had already refunded several months to me as a COURTESY -- I said how is it a courtesy to refund something you fraudulently took from me in the first place??!!!

People who have had this kind of problem should contact the BBB and continue to make noise until they get their money back!!!! This company is NOT customer-friendly and don't care how much they scam you as long as they can get your money!!!
