The following month after purchasing an item on the JC Penney website with my Discover Card, SBS Fun Family Rewards program started charging my credit card for 9.95. Every month. I did not sign up for this, I did not authorize this and was totally unaware that my credit card was going to be charged for anything other than the purchased armoire from JC Penney.

Upon searching the internet , I am finding that this has happened to others exactly the same way and are having problems getting it stopped, not to mention that they have taken money from us without our authorization.

Outrage at being ripped off by a well known company such as JC Penney doesn't cover my feelings on this. If this isn't against the law, it should be.
If it is against the law, who do we contact about this.

Additionally, we are now receiving telemarketing calls from Stonebridge Benefits , which after research, I have discovered is the company that services the SBS Fun Family Rewards program for JC Penney. Actually, I am finding that Stonebridge Benefits may be the new name for JC Penney's life insurance.

I am filing this report to alert others and to check their credit card statements.

no really i understand the frustration. simple solution follows:

call 1 800 542 0800

its jcpenney credit services, but it doesnt matter where the charges appear.

ask for fun family rewards

they transfer you

you ask to discontinue service, say u never signed up, ask for credit.
