Went in with my wife to buy a car, talked to a loan officer, then after test driving a car the salesman (TREVOR) said he cannot discuss numbers in front of me, i didnt like that but i let it go at first. then they proceed to tell her what she can afford, when she attempted to come talk to me he told her there was no need to talk to me about the car, although i would be the one making the payment. then when i finally told him i didnt like it, he immediatly got a attitude with me making sny remarks as we exited. even clenching his fist at one point.
I would never return and never ever reccomend them. STAY AWAY

Yeah sounds like legal B.S. to get around the fact you scam. I've heard it from several people after I left there. Because I DO share this story on a regular basis. And the next dealership we went to, WE bought a car. And my name wasn't on it, yet they let me sit in, to listen to every part of the transaction and make sure my wife wouldn't be scammed. You people are con artists and I hope everybody hears about it.

What a ridiculous premise by the previous person that made a rebuttal saying a finance officer can't talk about financing in front of the married couple only in front of the borrower.
A married couple is an entity. In community property states the spouse is responsible for the other spouse's debt. I don't know if the author of the complaint resides in a community property state or not, but even if they don't he certainly had a right to be there when his wife was signing up for any type of financing. For the sales rep to maintain that he couldn't be there with his wife is total lunacy. That is a huge red flag that the finance person is trying to pull the wool over the consumer's eyes. The author and his wife did the right thing anyway by walking out before signing. In fact, if any finance officer says you can't be present with your spouse when discussing financing terms, walk out.

You have no grounds to call this a ripoff or scam. A loan officer or licensed financial rep for a lendor is under no obligation to talk or discuss loan terms and.payments with a.person who is not on the loan. If the car.loan was.going in your.wife's name she is financially responsible not you. Under no circumstance should anyone at JD byrider have been talking to you about money. You were not purchasing the vehicle your wife was. If you wanted a say in the financial terms and be part of the discussion then legally you bad to put your name on the loan. You didn't and simply got.mad when the company's agent for his job and.told you that you could not be part of the financial.discussion. This sounds like.more of a case of.you.getting butthurt because.you.wanted.to.feel important and were.excluded because.it.was.legally.none.of your business. Stop.bashing.a business simply because you did not get your way. They did their job and.you.were.just mad. That is not.a.rip-off.
