We have bought 3 automobiles from Joe Cooper and the only reason is because of there sales staff. They are very friendly and helpful the salesman we always return to is Ron he has been great to deal with. That being said read on.

The service department is a joke!!! We tryed on our 1st suv to get service work done with no sucess each time is was they could not find the problem. After 3 attemps we took the suv to Joe Cooper in Midwest City they did fix the problem. Thank goodness we only had they one problem. We also tryed to use there Lube service this also was a joke the only thing they did (I Hope) was change the oil all other fluid levels were left unchecked as I had to top them off at home.

The 2nd veh. we bought was a used dodge pickup I bought the extended warrenty on it well wouldn't you know it I had a problem with it so I took it in. The service manager in a very rude manner informed me they did not work on anything but fords it did not matter that they sold it to me.

Next and just 3 months ago my Daughter bought a new mustang from them she is now having a problem with it she took it in and low and behold they could not find the problem. So we are taking it to seminole ford where they do have a good service dept. to have it fix.

So if it's service in the form of repairs after the sale don't go to Joe Cooper. But remember they do have a great sales staff. By the way the finace dept. head also needs a personality he is almost as rude and pushy as the service dept.

Dealership Manager Makes things Right

After talking with the Dealership manager finally things were made right they installed a complete new shifter in my Daughters car and they have worked on my Dodge truck sense. The Managers response was quick and proper. They do work on all makes and models of veh. and always have.

Kind of like the guy who had to have his truck towed in last week because the brakes went out on him. Had his oil changed at Jiffy/Quicky whatever lube, and the "technician" topped off his brake master cylinder with power steering fluid. Gotta love those places though, get a lot of business sent my way because of them.

If the problem with the vehicle cannot be duplicated in the repair bay, the mechanic has no way of correcting it. This happens alot. "Cannot duplicate customer complaint" is pretty standard.

Your complaint about a Ford Dealer not working on a Dodge vehicle is silly. Do you really believe a dealership is going to have service manuals, and factory parts for every vehicle made? The library would be the size of a house, and the parts wharehouse would be the size of a stadium. Just because they sell someone else's brand, does not mean they are responsible for it.

And as for the Mustang, again, if the mechanic cannot duplicate the problem, he cannot fix it.

And this may come as a shock(apparently will), but an oil change is just that...the oil gets changed. The quickie oil change places started that "top off everything" nonsense. If that's what you want, go to one of them. Before you do, remember this...the average JL replaces one engine/month. Read about all the problems in these threads at ALL of the lube places, no matter what name they carry.
