KLLM fired when took wife to emergency room Richland Mississippi

We were dispatched to Carlisle. Pa. My wife contracted shingles, her face began to blister, her right eye became swollen shut. I contacted dispatch and they agreed I take her to the regional medical center.

When she was able to be transported home without vomiting, they dispatched us to Texas instead of Utah, our home. We did not get back home for the next three weeks.

When we finally got home, she had lost nearly 50 percent of her eyesight in her right eye. We then were dispatched to their Fontana, Ca. yard and were terminated for unauthorized use of company equipment.

I called the COO of KLLM, a Jim Richards, who informed us our termination was legimate and we should not have used the company equipment without authorization, not even in a medical emergency.

I told Mr. Richards that if that was what he thought of his employees, I was grateful to God that we were terminated.

It is a sad state of affairs when the trucking industry is so brazen, so disinterested in the employees who make their profits possible, that they treat the drivers like this. The military does not treat servicemen and women like this even during times of war.

So why are these trucking companies so "out of it" when it comes to their "productive" workers?

I am glad we no longer work for these black hearted "quacks" and suggest to you all that you avoid them at all cost.
