I purchased a Kohler super flushing toilet. After 1 short week it began to plug up through no fault of my own. I've written to them for months and they haven't done a thing. They sent me email over 2 months ago asking for all the pertinent numbers from inside the tank and since then I've written 3 more emails and have heard nothing from them. I told them that I'd be contacting Rip-off Report, BBB and the State's Attorney on 4/16 and that didn't even spur them to action.
I'm a senior, handicapped and paid a lot of money for this waste of extra money. I also cannot afford to have someone come out that I'd have to pay to fix this new toilet. I have to walk down 2 flights of stairs to use my basement old-style toilet that doesn't plug up.
Why is the big companies who think they don't have to pay any attention to their customers?

Since I filed this report, Kohler has contacted me, paid for a plumber to come out and offered to get me a new toilet. Of course, I have to do all the work and being 65 and female, that's a lot to ask.

I am sorry you are having trouble, I worked for Kohler for 6 years until they ........ well lets say they don't treat their employees any better. I worked in their stainless steal sink plant in Searcy Arkansas. they have no real quality in their products and will throw quality to the wind to fill an order. as an employee we watched for flaws in the product but most times were told to let it go unless it was a defect that was very visable.
They have opened plants in various parts of the world (cheap labor) claiming the need to cut labor costs in order to compete ....... their prices have not dropped even though they are paying 10's of thousands per year per person less than they do in the states.
They are a privately owned company who is bent on building an empire who stand on their throne like King Kong and swat at the little people like you and I who work(ed) for a living and forge a living out of our blood and sweet.
The toilet you bought was made with cheap and in experienced labor, made by people who get apporx 1/8 what we here in the states gets paid. When Americans stop serving Americans this is what we get. I am sorry I have no solution for you other than don't by from Kohler ... it says USA on the box but the box is the only thing made in America or soon will be.
Just a suggestion ..... you might want to have someone pull it out (sense it doesn't work anyway) put a sign on it saying " Kolhers toilet took a dump, but the only thing that got flushed was the warrenty" put it in public veiw and take a picture of it and mail it to them ...... they might do something then, not that they care but just to try and save face.
