LA FITNESS I signed up for a new gym membership and have been ignored in my cancellation request, which was done the same day! Klein, Texas

I signed up for a new gym membership at LA Fitness in Klein, TX and then decided to join a better facility the same day, so I called to cancel. I was told that I would receive a refund in 5-10 Business Days. I called twice to check on the refund and was finally told after 2 weeks that I had to call the Accounting lady. so I called her and was informed that my membership had not been cancelled, but that she could do it and it would take another 10 days to receive the refund and she was actually laughing! I was disgusted with their lack of honesty and professional courtesy, so I asked for the Manager and was given an 800 number. I called that number in California and was told by some Customer Service girl that I should have called them to cancel! What a runaround and a bunch of crooks. Buyer Beware!!
