LA Fitness Sugarloaf is BS company that is easy to enroll but impossible to Cancel. Lawerenceville Georgia

I wanted to cancel my membership so I spoke to one of the sale assoc. He told me what I had to do to cancel it. I had to send a cancellation mail which had to be printed out at the front desk and I had to send Certified Mail. So I did. I even have their signiture and I got mail back to me. But then I got charged a month which I paid everything in full (cash) for 2 months, so that I won't get charged. This company has scammed me for 1 month of membership even after after I followed exact guideline to cancel my membership but I they still charged for it. I even found out that I am still enrolled into the system which I will be charged again. This scam has to be stopped. This company isn't any better than 24 hr fitness as well as Bally who got class action lawsuit due to fradulent and completely illegal way of making easy money.

I spoke to other member in the club and they are saying their friends had to go thru same issue. I asked numerous times how I can get in touch with corporate office but they refused to give me their informations. People I spoke to were General Manger named Jay and Shawn who is the sales assoc. I feel almost bad for these guys to work there everyday to deal w/ this bullshit they had to put up. Jay simply told me there is nothing I can do from have them repeated charging my credit card. Does that seem fair? I think cancellling my credit card is only way to stop them. This is my first post here and I wished that people would see what's going on behind the curtain before they join this place. BTW Jay (GM) was stating that they are too busy to have people enroll but then they don't have time to cancel people's membership although it only takes few clicks. Does this statement make any sense to people??? One more thing, they turn off their lights 5 mins before they are suppose to be closing. There work out equipment take forever to fix and they don't even bother to replace light bulb. Bathroom is filthy and so as workout area. I can't wait to get the hell out of this dump.

I went to Lifetime fitness and I asked them specifically how would somebody cancel a memeber and they told me I just need to sit over there and sign a piece of paper....Isn't this how it suppose to be? Just as how you enroll...
