LA Fitness Can't cancel after move if w/in 25 miles of LAF in new city New Jersey

LA Fitness should be bound by the same rules as securities salesmen and investment advisers: they shouldnt act like "Boiler Room" salesmen pushing lower monthly fee, longer term contracts in a bait-and-switch when ppl walk in the door soecifucally asking about a short term contract.

Most importantly, someone else reported on Ripoff Report a 5 mlie clause in their contract - that if there is no LAF within 5 miles of their new location they can cancel. Why did I get a Contract with a 25 mile clause? Who commutes 25 miles to a Gym, especially if they relocate to a new area in a new State? This is ludicrous.

Are there any lawyers that can answer this question, because I am not a lawyer, but in a contract, aren't both parties to a contract supposed to get something of value? If LAF continues to drain bank accounts or sue people for contracts that cannot possibly be useddue to relocation, when looked at through the eyes of a "Reasonable Man" standard, how do we stop this Fraud from going on?

How do we stop getting harassed?

How do we defend ourselves from getting sued, and has anyone sued this company yet for this egregious business practice?
