LA Fitness Cancellation Policy Extra Charges Fraud - Orlando Location Orlando Florida

I signed up to LA Fitness because my roommate was a member. The staff was relatively rude. Then I heard of Planet Fitness which was $19 cheaper a month & they had free tanning. So I go to my LA Fitness to tell them I want to cancel, they gave me my cancellation paper & I mailed it in June 2008.

I told my roommate & she printed hers from the internet, contacted the corporate office via phone. They let her fax her copy of the cancellation form to them. She even rec'd her email confirmation. July came & I got billed again, so I go to my local fitness center & they were really nasty about it. They gave me another form, I signed & gave back & told her to mail it. She said I cannot.

I told her that I tried to cancel before my roommate but I still get billed. She insisted that was impossible, couldnt have happened that way. So I mailed the form again. Well, It's now August, I haven't rec'd any confirmation of cancellation, so I called the corporate office. They told me to call back on Friday & they would be able to help me.

I am very upset as my billdate is coming up again. I am going to contact my bank & tell them to deny the charge. If my bank is unable to cooperate, I will close that account & reopen a different one. I am a hard working American who has rent, car, food, gas, child support, & clothing to pay for...

I do not have money to give to greedy deceitful crooks such as the LA Fitness bull****. I am fed up with the service & the lies. Planet Fitness is a much friendlier environment!!!! I hope that someday there is a class action lawsuit over the cancellations & overages!!!!
