LA Fitness deceived me about training package info and making me pay for two training packages Peoria Arizona

In May 2009 I signed up for both a club membership and for the lowest training package because its what I could afford to at the time. From the beginning the training manager Brad said I could cancel my training package for any reason even if I came into financial hardship, on the receipt form that he gave me, he even wrote on it that I could cancel due to financial hardship and then he signed his intials on it.

I decided I wanted more training sessions so I asked about an upgrade and so I did that. He said that I would only have to pay for the new training package when I did the upgrade. He also said if I needed to cancel that I could do that anytime as well. So I thought everything was fine.

Anyway, when I was charged in June, I realized they are charging me for both training packages. I can't afford that. I went to visit the store manager and even talked to Brad. They were both rude to me and made me cry. The main store manager was completely rude. I told them that I can't pay for both training packages. I'm even cancelling the club membership, the store manager got even more rude once I declared I wanted to do that too.

I just think its extortion to make a single person make for two training packages that they don't need. Its completely unfair and I was lied to about the terms of the training packages. Brad never told me the truth. He lied to me. I filed a report with the BBB in the Phoenix area but I don't know if they'll be able to do anything.

I'll upgrade here if things are ever resolved. But I will never trust L.A. Fitness ever again.. I'm done with gyms. They all seem to be the same, they will tell you anything. Give you white lies and half-truths to get you to sign up and once you do if you have any trouble making your payments there is no compassion and no understanding. They're just cold fish. I'll telling all my friends, my family, my co-workers about the experience.
