LADY OF AMERICA - NATIONAL FITNESS RIP OFF Flower Mound Texas

I signed up with LADY OF AMERICA as they were close to my house, al though the equipment was less than impressive and always one of the two treadmills is under rapair...etc., etc.,

I have barely used it for a few months and stopped going - not blaming that on any one...

In the middle of the 3 year contract, I was pregnant - Doctor advised not to climb on treadmill the last month through the first two months postpartum = 3 months in all.

I handed the written letter from doctor to them. They said my account will be on hold what that meant is that they will continue to charge me for 3 years and that I can use their fecility for 3 months free of charge after the 3 years.

I just let it go and thought its over after they charge for 3 years

My contract was supposed to have ended in May and just realized in when I checked my statement that they started charging again in September. I did not notice them charging me till November 5th.

In the meantime, the fecitlity near my house has closed out and no one knows where they moved to!

After lot of calling, I had to call National Fitness and they told me about this fine print in my contract that said unless I send a written notice, they will continue to charge my account on a month to month basis even after three years.

I have called thrice and requested them (no, not to refund the charges after 3 years) but to stop charging immediately. But NO - they will still go ahead and charge me for the next month as it doesn't comply with one month notice!!

Its a shame I missed to see this charge from sept-nov, but the fact remains, whether it is LOA or National Fitness, is hard to reason with and I feel very cheated.

I have been paying for the fecitlity that does not even exist any more...
