In February 2005, I leased a credit card terminal from a representative of Legacy Services, 2855 Magnum Rd., Suite 303, Houston TX 77092. In May '07 the machine went down. I called the 800 number stamped on rthe side of the machine and got a company called Electronic Payment Systems, 6472 S. Quebec St., Greenwood Village, CO 80111. After several diagnostic tests, the technician at Electronic Payment Systems determined that the terminal could not be repaired by phone. I sent the machine to them for repair. Upon their receipt, a representative from EPS called by telephone and told me that the terminal did not come from them but actually belonged to Legacy Services in Houston. EPS returned the machine to me and I promptly returned it to Legacy Services with a letter stating that the machine was not working. I never heard a word from Legacy Services and directed my bank to no longer accept electronic debits associated with them or EPS. In June 2007, a company called Lease Finance Group, LLC began calling my business and home phones up to as much as eight (8) times per day demanding lease payments. The lease instrument that I have from Legacy Services actually says that the lease is with a company called Integrated Leasing Corp., 600 Sylan Ave., Englewood Cliffs, NJ 07632. Close examination of the lease shows that no representative of Integrated Leasing ever signed the agreement. Now that the machine has gone haywire and repair or replacement services are needed, none of the companies involved - Integrated Leasing, Legacy, or Lease Finance - care to take responsibility. All I get are multiple harassing phone calls each day from LEASE FINANCE GROUP, who I never heard of until lately.
