Lease Finance Group LLC LFG Threattens civil action for outstanding balance of lease equipment. New York, New York

I received a letter at my post office box that states DEMAND FOR PAYMENT.  It has a lease number and phone number to call. 
It threatens to initiate a civil action against me unless I pay $216.86 in full.  I do not lease anything, and called the 800 number and gave them the lease number and the jerk answering the phone put me through to a voice mail which wants name, number and lease number and they state they will call back.
I called the number and told the same female that I am not leaving my name and number and she said "I can't help you" and hung up the phone on me.
I called back and tried to reach the alleged "Account Manager" Kenya Hill and only got her voice mail.  I  left my name and number and told her to call me back.  Nothing. 
I am convinced this is nothing more than a phishing scam, because any legitimate mail I get has my middle initial, and since this does not, these scam artists simply buy mailing lists and mail out the same letter to anyone with the same first and last name and hope someone will bite and actually provide their credit card numbers.  I think it's time the US attorney's office got involved with this fraud since they are crossing state lines.
