The contract was signed with Payment Systems, it was signed with a condition that the merchant services would function exactly the way our current accounting system functions.  With permission, I recorded a payment systems representative confirming that I would not be obligated if the system was not compatible and functioning the way our current system functioned.

Our system incorporates email billing that allows clients to pay through an email.  It is all managed and automated by Quickbooks and Intuit.

The system was not compatible and didn't function correctly.

I received a statement with a name I didn't even know, the statement  was miss-leading, it said thank you the payment.
I looked in my bank account and couldn't find the amount or the name that matched the bill.

Using the statement, I called to cancel and spoke with a representative.  They explained that I would need to send an email to cancel the contract.  I sent an email, asking to cancel.  I received no response.

They continued to withdraw payments from my account, I continued to call them and ask that it be cancelled.
I mailed a cancel notice to their office, I received no response.
I called more and kept trying to cancel to no avail.

Nobody would help me.  I was very frustrated.
After having over $2000.00 debited for this service I wasn't even using nor did I want to use.
I went my bank and asked them to put a stop for that company.

They did put a stop.  Then all of the sudden, I have them calling me and threating to sue, and to report me to Experian.
They tried to get me to pay $3000.00 more to them.

I said no, I never paid, so they reported me to Experian and it really hurt my credit score.
Is there any way to recover the $2000 dollars and repair the damage to my credit from these vicious rip offs.

I am a business owner and I have many contracts with my clients, I would never force someone to pay if and when they are not using my service or my products.

I forgot to mention that I sent their machine back to them as they requested, which gave me the impression that they would be willing to cancel.  But not at all.  They mislead me again on that.

Anyone have any recommendations, please let me know.

I am not sure I have a strong enough case to bring them to court?
