Litton Loan Servicing Stated that late charges would not be charged until after 7:00 p.m. on the 16th of each month. However, I have accrued 63 late charges all dated on the 16th of each month. Houston, Texas

This all began when our previous mortgage company sold out to Litton Loan Servicing. Every now and than a fee would show up dating back to 2002 and 2003 (Litton became our mortgage company in 2004).

Back in 2004 we had to file bankruptcy for other reasons which also included being behind in our mortgage. In 2006 we had a small hiccup and had our bankruptcy extended several more months in order to catch up.

The real problem began in July of last year when we received a letter stating that we owed approx. $1800.00. When we called to question this amount we were told they were attorney's fees. Later we were told they were late fees. Makes you wonder? Now 6 months later and we are not much closer to the truth. I requested 4 separate transaction history's (none of which were in chronological order) it has taken me quite a bit of time to look at all these late fees.

We were told that if your due date is the 1st of the month, a late fee won't be added unless payment was received after 7:00 p.m. on the 16th. There are 63 late fees all dated the 16th of each month starting back in 2005.  There is no way I can possibly believe all these payments did  not come in until then.
