This is yet another case of a consumer taken advantage by the big Financial company. I was riped-off by Lobel not once but twice with the same car same contract.I will start with the second becouse thats when they stole my car for good. After submitting to their rip-off tactics the first time becouse of the crucial importance to just get my car back, I paid their required fee of almost $2000. My car payment is $349... anyway. I paid monthly on time and when Christmas approached I thought I would do the right thing and pay a couple weeks EARLY to insure the car was paid figuring my budget would be tight becouse of Christmas. WRONG. Even though I enclosed a letter and even wrote it on the money order that it was payment for December, Lobel applied both payments to one month. So, for months I'm thinking I'm on time and Lobel has me a month behind. After fighting with them on the phone to resolve this, they repo my car. The girl I was talking to representing Lobel wasn't even aware of the Repo as it took place at the very time she was working out pay arrangments and said that I should call the cops my car is probably getting ripped-off. Yeah, it was ripped off alright, By Lobel. They didn't inform me that they was going to sell the car at auction. They gave me the run around untill the car was sold. The car Blue Books from $6000 to $8000 and they sold the car for $1800. I paid about that much to get the car out the first time. They knew this and thats why I think they didn't inform me of the selling of the car. Now they are suing me for for over $4000 dollars for a car they ripped off from me.They didn't want to go through the trouble of appling 2 payments to 2 months but went through all the trouble of repossesion, reselling, court proceedures, and plain highway robbery to make sure that my life and all the people that depend on me was put through it. I actually thought they would be happy to get my payment a couple of weeks early. Man... I thought I was doing the right thing. My court date is 12/19/05... just thought you'd like to know... bye.
