Love, Beal And Nixon Suit filed no summons served... What to do. Oklahoma City Oklahoma

My wife-to-be has found out she is being sued by Love, Beal and Nixon here in Tulsa. We had no idea of this until I happened to run across it on the Oklahoma coust website (I check people I hire regularly on there). It was filed on March, 30 and we do not have anything about this. She went to the court house and inquired about it and they gave her a copy of the petition they filed. It is a suit on behalf of Midland Credit Managemnet for approx $2100. We have no idea of who either company is. The information the court had filed has an address she lived at more than 16 years ago. The court clerk said she could not "serve" her. So what do we do? I have been reading alot, but I can not seem to get a straight forward step of events to resolve this. Hiring a lawyer right now is just not in our budget. Any real information would be greatly helpful.
