Magellan GPS No Lifetime Map Guaranty Valid Internet

Purchased Magellan Roadmate, May 2012, with box stateing Lifetime map updates.  Two years later, try and update, to current maps, told no updates available, and that their is no lifetime update.  Purchased Garmin at same time for wife, and same lifetime update, stated.  Garmin sticks to ther wording.  updated several times. 

Magellan told me their were no major updates available.  But when I go to the store and test out the new models, they have the new maps.  Had purchased two other units in past.  But htis is las Magellan I purchase. 

Will Purchase Garmin tommorrow, since they stand behind there word,
