Three years ago my husband and I began a savings account for a second honeymoon trip to celebrate our 25th anniversary which occurred this year. I received a telephone call telling me that I had won a free trip through Magical Dream Escapes. The solicitor was very appealing and won over mine and my husband's confidence (and he is usually a bit of a skeptic). She said that for good faith that we would be taking the free trip that we had to do a deposit of $500. She said that we would be receiving our trip tickets and information as well as a shopping certificate for $500 on their site so we weren't out the $500 at all. I thought that we might purchase a camcorder for our intended trip with that money.

As time went on and we set aside some more money to spend on the trip we put off looking at the packet we had received. We opened it today and found to our dismay that we could not use it except in the first year and we had been repeatedly assured that we could use it within three years for our anniversary trip. They apparently don't keep very good track of things in their company because someone actually called my husband about a month ago to inquire on how he enjoyed his trip (which we hadn't taken yet). He asked if it was still okay, sensing something might be wrong, and they said that they would be put an extender on it.

Something else that we noted when we read it today is that you have to be two adults full employed or retired who earn $50,000 in combined income or above. This had not been told us at the beginning. We don't earn that kind of money.

In addition, we found that we have to pay an additional $200 to $300 to get the hotel reservations. We have to copy a certificate and spend $12 for processing if we wanted free shows like at Las Vegas, etc.

Well, by now I thought that this was not going to be happening for us but at least we could recoup our $500 by purchasing something. I was dismayed to find such junk on that seller site and the Postage and Handling was exorberant.

I got on the internet to your site and found many, many complaints not only about Magical Dream Escapes but also about(((Redacted))) where the worthless $1000 certificate was issued.

I hope that you can help us recover our money. We would be ever so grateful. Thank you.

p.s. We also plan to write a letter to our North Dakota Attorney General in the hopes that this particular company will be banned from doing its fraudulent business in our state at least. It appears that they just love to prey on the naive and elderly especially.
