TOTAL SCAM. They are making a fortune by taking little bit of money from lots of people and there is NO WAY to get it back.
I purchased magicJack plus from Radioshack. In order to intialize, magicJack required a $19.95 fee to request the import of my current phone number. After days and hours of trying to get teh magic Jack to work with my phone, they decided that the device was defective. Radioshack gave me a second device that magic Jack could not get to work.
Thankfully, Radioshack refunded the price of the magic Jack itself, but there is NO ONE to talk to at magic jack about returning the fee for porting my number. NO ONE has been able to find a physical address for this company. Thankfully, my bank credited me the charge. PLEASE make a report to the Attorney General for your state and the Better Business Bureau.
Some one needs to bring a Class Action lawsuit against magic Jack, if they can locate them! They have to be incorporated somewhere. They have to have a legal business address for service of legal actions, that is a law in every state.

Magic Jack is located in West Palm Beach, FL. Additional phone numbers to try are (561) 594-2140, (561) 771-2255, (561)594-9925. If you go to the national Better Business Bureau web-site, you can file a complaint directly with the State of Florida to, from what I can tell all the complaints are, get a refund. ALSO complain about their AWFUL customer service. Unbelievably they have an 'A" rating! Also make a complaint with your State Attorney General.
