I contacted Main Law July, 2014 to discuss having them do a refinance of my loan.  I spoke with Sarah Goodman who spent a while with me discussing refi percentage rates and possibilites.  She asked about me modifying my loan, I stated that I did not want a modification as I knew I would not qulify for a modification, She stated that pok, we could do a 15/30 year refi...she suggested the refi and stated that $4k would be saved in the first two payments.  She also stated that if they were unsuccessful they would reimburse the $4K.  I agreed and she set me up ith Sarah Peters who proceeded to send me the contract info...I reviewed and saw the words short refi and asumed that what was going to happen.  I also asked about the reimbursement which she acknowledged and stated that yes they would reimburse if they were not successful.  I sent emails referring to the refi and never was contacted by their firm that they do not do refinances....I received a letter from the bank stating that I did not qulify for the modification and again I sent to their office stating that I was looking for a refi and not a modification....additionally, I stated this when they called asking for my second payment and said nothing.

i asked to have them call me...10 days later after I emailed them twice, they called and stated that the modification was denied...no kidding!!...........I then asked about the reimbursement and was never acknowledged and I was sent to numerous people who know nothing about what goes on....I emailed my displeasure to Sarah Peters and requested that they contact me to discuss at least a partial settlement of my fees.  I was contactd by email by their customer relations person by email requesting a time to discuss my concern....she never called back.

As a firm that apparently specializes in modifications and modifications only....all they had to do was look at my work status and income and knew I would not qualify for a modification.....they are extremely unethical, and quite frankly can be considered predatory.  Their personnel will tell you alot of things, but refuse to discuss any issues with you.  They are extremely uncomunicative.  I will be filing a complaint with the California State Bar and possibly a small claims action in Orange County.

Do not use this firm.
