About one year ago we purchased "fractional ownership" with the Mayan Palace. We recently found out it is now called Vida vacation club. We were lied to for 5 or 6 hours and we unfortunately believed what we were being told. We have now tried to use it for one year and it is terrible.

You can never get in when you want to. You cant ever exchange to the places you want to go. You cannot rent out the weeks like they tell you. We may have made our mistake but we don't want anyone else to. I ask that you reply to this post if you have been ripped off.

I would love to brainstorm ways to stop this fraud. We were told this was a good investment and IT IS NOT.

Mayan Palace Timeshare Scam

AUTHOR: AlanM68 - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, December 31, 2013

The sales tactics are the same for everyone at the Mayan Palace timeshare resorts. Hard sell, disrespectful when you say no, broken promises. DO NOT think for one moment that you have an upper hand...these are professional con artists highly trained to take your money. You have no chance of ever seeing your money again or receiving anything close to the value you were promised. Assume that everything posted by Grupo Mayan and its affiliates is a lie or a scam. Never do business with this company; never buy a mayan palace timeshare scam

Mayan Palace Timeshare Scam

AUTHOR: RoseW - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, April 10, 2013

On every bad review there's a "customer support representative" that apologizes. Shortly after the bad reviewer "rescinds any bad words" and all of their issues are magically resolved. So, are they paying people off to stop telling people how bad they are, and if that's the case wouldn't it make sense that they're paying people to write "good" reviews? This place is too sketchy-no matter how good the deal is. I'll stay away. This is a good article from Mexican Timeshare Solutions on how most of the Mayan Palace Timeshare scams are being committed lately:
