My friend and I bought last year in Cancun, plain and simple we got screwed! We kept saying no, no, no. We already had a program at Palladium and were still paying on it. They were relentless, kept going on and on about a guaranteed rental program. Eventually they put us on the phone with one of brokers from a list they have, we spoke to a person at Global Golf and they assured us of the huge rental demand for Mayan weeks, he said we would have a check within the first three weeks of Jan. 2014. Then he went on to assure us that they would have absolutely no trouble selling our Palladium program. Because of these assurances we decided to go ahead and spend $13,500, this was the price after the phony credit they gave us for our Palladium program and rental credit.

Another part of the deception was the opening price was $50,000, turns out this was an inflated price. The scam is they discounted the price and gave us rental credit, giving the false impression that there is a huge demand for rental weeks (this really helped convince us) then they gave equity credit for the Palladium, there were some other credits which we can't remember but in the end we paid $13,500. I repeat we would have kept saying no, but having an "independent broker" begging us for weeks he so desperately needed was the tipping point for us. When we got back to our room and the broker called us anxious to sign us up which made us feel like there was a genuine need for rental weeks and we signed up.

We have tried to settle this offline but the Mayan refuses because we have decided to use a third party. After what they did to us can anyone blame us. They are masters of deception and we need someone who has more knowledge of the situation. BTW there is nothing in the contract that states we cannot retain assistance. They rely on the contract when we complain about the bogus rental/resale scam, they say you shouldn't have bought for rental/resale even though they put us on the phone with a broker......astonishing. We understand that if we take it upon ourselves and seek out rental brokers and get no results that's our fault. But the Mayan colludes with brokers as we mentioned then they stand there with their hands up saying they have no responsibility here.

We have the absolute legal right to seek assistance, they are accustomed to taking advantage of unsuspecting consumers and we are just trying to level the playing field and get someone who know what they're talking about.

We will continue to spread our story until this situation is resolved.

It is always best to hire someone skilled to do so, unfortunately in most cases these companies dedicated to cancel timeshares usually cheat for the second time to their customers since they are vulnerable and desperate. If you are thinking of hiring them you just have to make sure you do not have to make any payment upfront ... I found these articles that speak precisely about this, you should read them, that might help you to resolve many doubts:

I hope you can solve your problem, good luck!

Vidanta Still Waiting For a Response From Mr. Ivan Chavez

AUTHOR: Deb Sara - ()

POSTED: Thursday, January 29, 2015

Mr. Ivan Chavez, our call for your intervention in our situation has gone unanswered. So once again we will post here and elsewhere to warn consumers to BEWARE of your projects throughout Mexico.

Vidanta has constructed spectacular resorts no one can question that, however it is exactly the magnificent resorts that led us and others to think that what the sales rep and the brokers they put us on the phone with were on the up and up. Nothing could have been further from the truth!

Ours is a common story as it relates to your duplicitous sales crew. Rental....total lie! Resale of my old timeshare....total lie!

On the advice of your lovely sales people we signed up with two brokers on the list you provided us....One of them is under federal indictment for fraud (20 counts) and the other is useless. So on top of the $13,500, we spent $1,100 on brokers....and you or any of your customer services people will not lift a finger to fix this obvious fraudulent situation.

Going forward, the future of Vidanta looks bright, and maybe you have since stopped your people from lying but that doesn't give you a pass on what happened to us. Please reconsider your position.

Mr. Ivan Chavez (Owner) Please Read

This is our periodic update which we will continue to do until the Vidanta recognizes our legitimate claim.

If asking the Owner Ivan Chavez to get involved makes a difference well then Mr. Chavez please read our story. Ms. Rose has all the details, they are unethical! We've found Not unusual for what goes on at the RM location.

What happened to us is nothing short of criminal (conspiracy). Sales put us on the phone with one of your 'brokers' who guaranteed us results on rental and resale.

Mr. Chavez your excuse for ignoring our claim because we are using a third party, is just another unethical position. He is not putting words in our mouths, we stand 100% behind everything that's been posted and sent to your office. He's not lying, we're not lying......the liar in this saga is Vida Sales Cancun and I suspect you know what the truth is.

We won't stop exercising our right of free speech as long as your company's position is to support the criminal behavior perpetrated on us.

Please show that your company is not to be equated with these postings and don't reward the dishonest sales at our expense. We also signed up with Resort Rentals who was highly touted by your sales team and we all know how that worked out. Surely

Vida Vacations Grand Mayan Mayan Palace Vida Vacations Colludes with Rental Brokers to Rip Us Off cancun

We're back.....sorry to bother you all with our sad story but we won't let Vida do what they did and just say ....too bad, so sad.

The bottom-line here is we kept saying no. Then they put us on the phone with a Rental Broker from a list they provide who proceeds to tell us he has tons people waiting to rent the type of unit they we're trying to sell us (how convenient) .....the broker literally begged us to buy so we could list weeks with them. He also guaranteed to resell our other timeshare. We believed and trusted what we were hearing based on the magnitude of the project, we couldn't imagine whoever built it would allow such deception. We were wrong!

Yes we know we are way past the 5 days. That's the beauty of their scam....you don't realize until it too late. What's even better Ownership/Corporate Mgmt backs up the pitch.

I almost forgot, after a year of not renting any weeks or reselling our other timeshare the broker who we listed with had the nerve to call us and ask for more money....this really happened!!

I am I the only one this has happened to?  I doubt it!

Vida Vacations Scam, Scam,Scam

Vida Vacations Vidanta Vidanta Rental Resale Scam Riviera Maya Mexico

Unfortunately, we have had competitors or disgruntled ex-employees go online and post similar false remarks about our company in an attempt to damage our reputation for excellence. These allegations are unfounded as many members have indeed exchanged their membership with our real estate partners.

The above is a response from Karen Rose on Redweek to somebody who was posting a story similar to ours about lying Vida reps.. What's unfortunate for Vida is what these people they accuse of spreading misinformation are saying is exactly what happened to us and many others who litter the timeshare forums with their horror stories.

It's true what they say......there is damage being done to their reputation......however, it is being cause by THEIR sales teams. This is yet another example of Vida behaving badly and blaming others for their duplicitous ways. Incredible!!!

Ms. Rose we urge you to reconsider you position.
