I followed all of the instructions, submitted all required documents, even the upc code affixed to the information sheet, kept a copy for my records, and submitted according to the time limit requirements.  I was told that my rebate was denied because of a missing upc code and I know it was a complete lie because I have a copy of it sitting right here.  Even if it did fall out of the envelope (which is impossible unless the envelope was ripped, I taped the original UPC code to the information sheet), I still won't buy any more of their products just because of the deception involved.  I think they want to compete with Kapersky (spelling) because their rebates are so good.  However, with the nature of the lies, they totally lost me as a customer.  Not only that, it slows down Windows 8 to a crawl and my system bogs down all of the time while I'm surfing the internet.  What a waste of money, and it's debatable whether or not I'm getting the protection I pay for.  I probably can get a better product for free without waiting for a rebate that I won't get.

Got Even

AUTHOR: Robert - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, October 14, 2014

In the 90's I was  a customer of an computer utility/antivirus software company and paid annual subscription  fees.  When I bought a new computer I decided to buy their latest release off the shelf because it offered a $20 rebate.  I went through all the hoops and then some but they stiffed me on the rebate.  The card I got from them in the mail had no explanation or contact info.

Well as of today they are out over 20 years of my annual subscription fees for a $20 rebate.  Also as a "go-to" computer guy for family, friends and colleagues, I have steered away many potential customers.
