I just spent TWO HOURS attempting to cancel my "Preferred Customer" account with Melaleuca.
The rules, on their contract, state that to cancel, they must receive their special "Preferred Customer Cancellation Form" by February 25. Silly me, I thought I could simply call them!
No.
Had to download the form from their website, which requires chugging through no less than 8 pages of "are you sure" ... Just for fun, the form is only available if you have Adobe Reader X (10). I had been functioning quite well with Adobe Reader 6 until tonight. But I finally did install the new software so I could install their form.
Then to fax the form. No luck. I tried 4 times to fax it to 888-528-2090. All attempts failed. Their fax machine seems to be set to strategically fail on the 25th of the month.
Four customer service people, including Tanya and supervisor Sean told me that they cannot help except to monitor 888-528-2090 and that there is no other number they can give me.
Scanning the form so I could send as an email attachment?
No way. They told me that this would fail to be registered as a cancellation.
So I scanned and emailed anyway. And I'm going to contact my credit card company and tell them I refuse any further orders. And I will never order from them again.

A few months ago I was called about the opportunity to join melaluca the health and wellness company, after watching a webinar what I saw made sense so I joined. I did ok with melaluca signing up a few representatives each month in my free time and it looked like I would be in for the long haul then I got a call from one of the representatives I had signed up they were not able to do well with the program, and her husbend had been laid off so they had to quit but were being blocked form doing so by melaluca despite having faxed in the request to no longer be a customer more than 5 times and spending over 3 hours on the phone with melaluca, the company was refusing to let them terminate there agreement. Every time they spoke with melaluca the people form melaluca said "oh we did not get it try sending it again" they finnaly gave up and had to dispute there charges with there credit card company, and have the credit card company block all debits from melaluca. After hearing about this I form more than one customer that attempted to quit I stoped promoting melaluca and attemped to quit myself but the same thing happeded to me I faxed them the cancellation sheet more than 5 times and everytime I called they simply acted as if they did not get it, I finnaly had to spend over a hour on the phone talking with the people in the call center who finnaly transfered me to a supervisor who cancelled that account when I threatened to dispute that charges with my credit card company. I am in another network marking company and if you want to cancell you just go to the website and click to cancell that simple.
I have one question for melaluca why do you want to force people to buy your products when they are no longer intrested?

This is undoubtedly a pyramid scam. Melaleuca is a well oiled machine to rip you off. Please beware. Even their fine print won't save you from loosing your money with them. They don't even stand by the Rite of Rescission Act.
On the 9th of the month I signed on with the perception that I was only purchasing a one time order of natural products for approximately $30.
They charged my account almost $100. When I realized that I had signed on to purchase products on a monthly basis of $60 per month and be a representative, I called my representative the next day to cancel the order. He put the order through anyway. I called the company immediately to cancel all transactions and told them I would refuse the delivery of the order. They processed the order despite my complaints. They told me I had until the 25th to cancel. I faxed and emailed but to no avail. They charged my account the full $100 and returned only $48.00. I claimed Rites of Rescission and got the faxed documents to them within time. They are denying my claim. I will continue to fight for my approximate $50 back. It's not the money of $50; it's the principal of the matter.
I must have spoken to Melaleuca 10-12 times during this time. When I asked for a senior person or for their email address I was stonewalled.
I asked them if it is worth $50 to alienate a customer who may spread their experiences to others. After all bad news spread faster than good. Apparently, they think it's worth it.

web cast,sign up

It clearly shows you the preferred customer agreement when you see the web cast . And you had someone sign you up .Those two alone TELL YOU you must cancel by fax or letter by the 25th . If you did not want to order 35 pts ,why did you know say so when you saw the presentation???
What you are saying is simply NOT true , the cancellation form is in your business center to download and simply print out - pdf ...No fax number is ''set up '' to fall on the 25th! People cancel before the 25th if they do not want to be a customer .It is people like you that ruin hard working people's reputations!!
