Our small company signed up with this processor 4 years ago for credit card processing after having been called by a Canton, GA sales rep saying he could "save us money" in processing our credit cards. He reviewed several months of our previous processors statements and declared he could save a considerable amount (dollar amount not to be declared here). This has been FAR from the truth due to all their fees!
We were told we could not keep our current card scanner and were sold a "Non Cancelable Lease" for new equipment - for 4 years. That was a rip off as well.... as you are never notified in any way of when the lease expires. You need to keep track yourself as it will automatically renew for the same fees. Also we never signed the lease for the equipment but it was automatically debited out of our account. We have since sent the equipment back and hopefully settled with the lease company. Still awaiting finalization there.
Please note that they do NOT provide you a copy of the contract that you sign for CC processing. You make a copy yourself before the salesrep leaves or you never get a copy at all!
Since we signed a 4 year processing contract, we stuck out the agreement to fulfill our side of the contract. Six months after our 4 year anniversary we faxed a written letter of request to cancel our Merchant account. We waited until the next month's bank statement to be sure all transactions had cleared and all associated fees from the processor had cleared. We then closed the bank account used for credit card processing. Approximately 6 weeks after this letter we were notified we owed non activity fees of approx. $39. Calling customer service to inquire as to why, we were notified that the cancellation letter was never received even though we had a confirmation that the fax had completed.
Next, we sent a certified letter of notification to cancel the merchant account with a check to pay the non activity fees. The check was returned with notification that they do not accept check payment. They are now requesting us to complete THEIR cancellation form that provides automatic deduction access to a bank account for them to deduct funds as they see fit. It notes cancellation fees of $250 to $350.... interesting since we fulfilled the 4 year contract!
They have now been notified for over 60 days that this account is to be closed and are refusing to close the merchant account. Because we are refusing to sign "Their" cancellation form to allow free access to our bank account, we are continuously being billed for an inactive account.
I hope this alerts any potential customers of their business ethics and disconcerting fees. Please do not fall for their unethical business practices and stay clear!!!
