MGC Mortgage This company should not be operating and needs to be investigated - immediately! Very deceptive business practices. Plano Texas

I am starting to get very nervous in regards to the status of my mortgage. My mortgage was sold to MGC last July from Regions Bank. Things have been up and down since then. At first I found them very unapproachable - no way to reach them...their automated system never worked...no online access, etc..and when I finally was able to reach a live person - they had little or no info in regards to my loan.

Anyway, things seemed to get a bit better lately, and I decided to do a loan-modificaiton through them. They received all my required info 2 months ago, and everytime I would call to check on the status - they said they would be getting in touch soon. So - I spoke to them on just yesterday again to check the status and they said...oh, yea...we've closed the Massachusetts office and everything that was being handled through there is being sent back to Plano (TX) and we will be processing it here. (no idea as to exactly when though). This also goes for my May mortgage payment which was sent to the MA address the beginning of the month - which they still have not received because they're not processing anything there anymore I guess. So now, my mortgage payment is late!

Right now I have no clue as to what happened to my loan modification or even my May mortgage payment. How can a mortgage company be allowed to operate in this fashion? I am not sure what to do.
