Mini Vacations - MVI ripoff Tampa Florida

I sent a deposit in for the "mini vacation" offer. One week they cash the check, next week they're out of business (January, 2006. I found a cell number for an agent who says "the owner decided to run the business into the ground and take of with the money". She said 'they' want to find some office space and "get the business up and running again without the owner" - I have heard nothing from her.

I filed a complaint with the Florida AG and the Dept. of Agriculture, who handles the licensing of travel agents. I just received a letter today from the Dept of Ag, stating that MVI "was under contract with the Airlines Reporting Corporation" and that MVI was noot required to "register or post financial securities" with the Department.

Of course the letter also stated that there was "no guarantee" of a refund.
