I, like many others, have been a victim of fraud by Miracle Management Group, division of Risk Management Partners in Carson City, Nevada.
They took $285 per month out of my checking account and did not settle any of my accounts. I was sued by Discover Card and lost the lawsuit. At first I simply took Discover off of my list of creditors which the company was trying to settle for me.
But I grew angry when I did not receive return phone calls from Miracle Management Group. I decided in May to cancel my account with them and it was determined that they were to pay me a total of $2564 after taking out their retainter fees and whatnot. They told me that it would be six weeks from May 26th. It is now September 29th and I'm completely fed up.
After doing a google search today on the internet, I've discovered that Miracle Management Group had gotten themselves into trouble and were ORDERED by the state to refund their clients and to pay a penalty. There was an article about this on the Phoenix television station 5 and it described this situation.
I've called countless times and have been so nice when leaving my messages. If I weren't totally poor and desperate, maybe I could take this as a lesson in life and get over it.....but I'm not that fortunate of a person.
If it was so easy to take my money out of my account in the first place, why am I having such a difficult time getting this money back?
Most of their clients who were located in Arizona received their refund. I want mine, too. I don't care if I'm in Colorado. I'm entitled to this.

wow.
My first check from mmg did clear. But there was a second check of $855 that was supposed to be sent the first week of november (which is ancient history now, right?) and it was clearly never sent.
I wasn't expecting it. I felt lucky to have gotten the majority of my money back, but it's started bothering me again. I received an email from another victim of mmg and it brought all of that anger up again.
I know it's $855 and not thousands like many of you are still waiting for. It's the fact that these people are still doing this and apparently getting away with it.
she promised she would refund everything, including the retainer and setup fees.
big surprise. She lied.
I'm back on the team against mmg.

I wanted everyone to know that I received my refund check yesterday from Miracle Management Group. It was not a certified check and will take a few days to clear into my account, but I'm confident that it will be good.
I'll update again and let everyone know for sure how the situation turns out in the end.
It's looking good for now.

I did not receive my check as Hyla told me I would. I did get a phone call today from Mike in customer service, telling me that my check would be here on the 18th, via Bank of America, certified check.
I promised that I would update my blogs on the internet once I get the check and the check clears.
Still waiting.....and there are many others....
hopefully if we all work together, we may all accomplish our entitled refunds.
