On feb 3rd 2015, I saw what looked like a straight forward non-commital offer to try two free products (face and eye serum) by MiraVie (associating themselves by the way with Dr. Oz) which is the only reason I decided to order. The deal was, get these two items free and just pay shipping and handling. I first read through the terms of agreement with the best of my ability to even understand all that mumbo-jumbo and saw nothing that locked me in? However, when I went to order it wouldn't let me unless I clicked on the "little box" affirming I was 18 or older and read the terms and I did. Big mistake!!

That's where they get you! On that very day I ordered and paid the 10.00 S&H, they also charged me $175.90! I hadn't even rec'd the first two so called "free samples" yet to see if they'd work in two weeks (which they didn't and I wasn't planning to order more anyway because I can't afford it) but they immediately robbed me of that precious extra money that was MINE and I NEEDED to pay my bills! Keeping in mind again, even if I wanted that stuff, it wouldn't be due for at least another month. So obviously, I didn't recieve it, but was charged for it and the S&H more than a month ahead of time!!

Next: As soon as I became aware of this outright unlawful taking of my money two weeks later I called them immediately! Admittedly, I was more than unpleasant and demanded a refund of the $175.90. All they would do was cancel any further shipments / charges and refunded me half ($87.96) of the money they stole for products that were never shipped and wouldn't be. Not only is this deceptive advertising, it's fraudulant profit taking! How on earth do they get to keep half of my money when they haven't even shipped the items they're charging me for?

I noticed many others complaining here about this same company and tactics and I hope we all get some justice on this and our money back! Most of these greedy fraudulant profit takers work the same way. They make everything confusing and complicated to understand and count on people to miss just one little obscure word or sentence and frankly, I believe being deceptive is actually how they make most of their money. Well, I'm not letting this one go. Nothing justifies them keeping ALL or even HALF of MY money for a service they never rendered. Then I'm going on a campaign for "Upfront Truth in Advertising". Consumers aren't lawyers and shouldn't be taken advantage of or stolen from.
