In addition to this posting I have submitted two complaints to the FTC regarding this company. This business is not legitimate. They are located in Canada but show that they are based in Michigan. They alter recorded calls to say you've ordered or renewed their services. They repeatedly call our business attempting to collect on an invoice for an order we never placed.

We first received a cd-rom in the mail in 2007 without any paperwork or description, when we called the number on the cd to find out what it was as it appeared suspicious the person answering said they were just the shipping department and the company was actually in Montreal, Canada, and provided a phone number. We spoke to a person who claimed we ordered the cd and that it was part of a business listing. They then played a telephone recording of my voice verifying our business address, phone numbers and websites. [I have done so before but always spoke to women and the recording had a man's voice. I did not recall the exact conversation and it was choppy. I never authorized a purchase over the phone, we do not pay for any listings, nor would I ever spend $500 for a listing if we did.] I believe they altered this phone call as a ploy to represent an order placement. We later received a faxed bill describing a membership fee of $115.49, web and cd listing of $269.50, and a software 4.0 of $85.00. It also states the listing fee is charged by 6 month intervals and cannot be canceled without prior authorization. membership fee is non-refundable and covers a 2year period.

The initial collection call was in February 2007 and continued for a few months then stopped. The calls started again daily for several weeks in January 2008. Stopped for a month and started again April 18th. They continue to call once or twice a week. The calls have become increasingly harassing as we refuse to pay their vague invoice for 'web and cd-rom listing services'. Their website is poorly functioning, unimpressive, unclear and simplistic which I find strange for a web-listing service to have such a poor site. We do not pay for our listings nor would we hire this group if we did.

Each call I inform them that we did not place an order, nor do we wish to be contacted again, they respond by stating they will remove us from their list if we pay the bill and cannot cancel without authorization. When I ask for authorization of cancellation they send me to a second person to verify my contact information which is one of their deceptive sales tactics to get a recording of providing a mailing address. I have repeatedly asked for everything to be handled by mail so that it can be on paper and am told that authorization of a cancellation cannot be done this way.

Advised by my attorney, I've sent them a letter and returned the cd-rom which I never used as its content is not trusted and I do not wish to risk releasing a virus on our computer system. In the letter I indicated that all contact from this company stop. I hope it does as the harassing calls cost our business valuable time and energy.

Do not pay this company, they misrepresent and are not legitimate. This company has multiple ripoff reports on this site.
