Two of the businesses within our group have been contacted by Monarch Media Group about a no-charge update to a phone listing. Each call went to someone who was not a manager and could not authorize any legally binding contracts. We never provided a purchase order of signed a contract for these services. Both businesses received invoices amounting to $484.20. We have refused to pay these people and have contacted the FTC, Michigan's Attorney General's office, the BBB of Detroit and are exploring how to file a complaint with the Canadian Government. Luckily we have tight controls in our accounting office so these scams get caught pretty quick. Watch those bills coming in and screen them diligently!

Monarch Media Group Our company received a call on 8/05/08. Company proposed free renewal of internet software. So, me thinking it was free, I answered thier questions and then on the 8/27/08 owners receive invoice for 469.99. This is a problem because we had no idea we were going to be billed or sign a six month contract with thier company. Port Huron Michigan
