Monarch Media Group Our company received a call on 8/05/08. Company proposed free renewal of internet software. So, me thinking it was free, I answered thier questions and then on the 8/27/08 owners receive invoice for 469.99. This is a problem because we had no idea we were going to be billed or sign a six month contract with thier company. Port Huron Michigan

My restaurant kitchen manager recieved a phone call on 8/05/08 saying that they were going to upgrade our website and computer software free of charge. I was not available at the time so he asked them to call back at a later time to speak with me. The person on the phone stressed that it was free and that it was o.k. for him to take the call. They continued with a series of questions asking name, address, etc. On 08/27/08 I recieved a bill for $469.99. I had no idea what this bill was for!

So I called the Monarch Media Group trying to resolve this issue and spoke with Cathrine O'Darby. I explained to her that I knew nothing about her previous conversation with my employee and she still refused to take the charge away. She said that I would have to pay for this and if not, they would come after my business. I told her that I would report the company to the Better Business Bureau and to take my business off their list.

Of course I asked for the President's name along with anyone in a position higher than her's that could possibly be able to fix this situation. She would not give me any names, but did offer a payment plan option for me. A payment plan? What for? I am still confused as to what this is other than the fact that I know it's a scam.
