I too was ripped off by monro muffler. I visited the local shop to have gaskets replaced between the header pipe and the Y pipe at a cost of $158.00, the manager explained the high cost due to the 6 bolts and springs that hold the 2 pipes together.Well a little more than a year later the exhaust was making the same noise.I inspected the header and y pipe to notice that they did not install the correct bolts and springs that he had quoted me, thus causing the gaskets to wear out prematurely.
Also my sister in law visited the same shop to have her oil changed,well she had forgotten to remove her medical prescription that she had just picked up at the pharmacy, and one of the mechanics opened it up and removed some pills.
Also a very good friend of mine took his truck to have exhaust work done and an oil change well they had drained his old oil but they had forgotten to add the new oil causing his motor to blow up. This shop is a total RIP-OFF.
I would like to warn everyone not to go to any Monro or Speedy muffler shop

i am the manager of monro in downingtown i wish to appoligize for your bad expierence however not all monro stores are the same way there are a few bad apples in every corp. that does not make the company as a whole bad all monro shops must adhere to the MAP program guaranteeing you excellent service at a fair price. i do know that if you complained to the corp you were refunded all your monies as well as compensated for any inconvienence this is policy. futhermore it is very unfair of you to state that the company as a whole is a rip-off i run an honest shop as well as everyone in our market
