Moving Staffers @ movingstaffers.com practically doubled my moving costs & and make it very difficult to approximate costs if on a budget; Wichita Falls Texas

We used moving staffers (plus service) per the recommendation of U-Pack ABF container services.  Moving Staffers apparently contract the work out to a local moving company.  The local moving company was great & the guys were professional and responsive.  (although our items have not yet made it to its final destination because we have our things in storage).

The way moving staffers sets up their contract, it allows them to nickel and dime you for the entire move.  The amount of feet we needed to use was approximated, so if it is not well estimated, you will really be "in for it"! I was under the impression that by using their "Plus" service, that we would have 3 men for as long as we needed for the entire move & that they would be using their own supplies to pack & wrap our items.  This is how their plus service is defined on their website (but not on the contract):

Also, the fine print on the contract they write "¹Additional charges may apply for wait time, extra stops, additional trips, and undisclosed stairs, long carries, elevator, and large items". 

We ended up needing about 11 more feet of space than what was approximated.... We also had more items that WE neede to pack while they were loading up items from our garage; but now they are trying to tell us that our movers were standing around for 2 additional hours.  That is BS!

I believed that by using ABF U-pack & the moving staffers services that my move was going to be more affordable than using a full service moving company.  I was terribly wrong.  In addition, since we were on a very tight budget this cost us much much more than originally anticipated, which is never pretty.

In the past, we have used Mayflower and they gave us a quote.  They told us if they go over the quote, that we would not be responsible for additional charges.  At least we had peace of mind that the charges would be no more than anticipated. 

Now, many days after the fact and right before Christmas, Moving Staffers called me to tell me that we went over the estimated amount.  They then charged our bank account leaving us with no money to cover our Christmas holiday.  I am just sick at the way they handled this.  I will never use or recommend the service to anyone.  I would have been better off using a full service company such as Mayflower as they were very fair and direct with their pricing.
