I had MoO short term and long term disability insurance thru my employer for 5 years.  I had several ruptured discs in my neck that left me unable to move my head even a half inch for 3 months...I had pain in my arm constantly and could not use my R hand.  First they gave me two weeks of std and then denied me. My Dr. and neurologist wrote letters of my status.  I had extensive testing..emg/cvn, 3 mri's and therapy 3 times a week for a year and a half.  All test showed nerve damage, extensive degenerative disc disease and some stenosis.  Carpal tunnel of both wrists and sciatica down both legs, and Fibromyalgia.  Further testing had results of BPPV and hearing loss.  I appealed the std and won, with them paying me the rest of the std.  Then, it went to LTD and first the delays started, and then the denial of the LTD.  I appealed that and was turned down.  I might add here that my Social Security disability has been approved.  My only recourse is court.

In the denial of benefits,  their hired Doctor, who's never even met me, stated, there are no reasons that my problems should be holding me back from doing my job as an administrative assistant.  I loved my job and would have given anything to return, but it just wasn't then nor is it now possible.  I had faith in MoO to give me the financial support I paid for, a benefit that I really need. Their  deny and delay tactics, I'm sure beat people down.  They probably spent more on the denials than the amount I would have recieved.
