MWI Privacy Plus ripoff Stamford Connecticut

Received email regarding receiving free credit report. Clicked on email address to receive report.

When at website, gave information requested in order to receive free credit report. Took me to a screen asking for credit card information for future billing information if you wanted to join their privacy protection.

After entering the information, web site stated that credit report was ready, but had to reenter my credit card number in order to receive it.

Reentered information, but never received credit report or anything else.

After that incident, I received billings from MWI Privacy Plus on my credit card bill.

Reported to my credit card that this was not authorized nor did I receive goods or services. Credit card company credited one month charges.

Contacted phone number on bill for MWI Privacy Plus. They were supposed to credit my account and stop billing my credit card for services that were not received or authorized.

MWI representative assured me that this would be taken care of, therefore did not pay for charges on card since it was supposed to be credited.

Received another statement from credit card company with the charge still on the statement along with a late fee.

Tried recalling MWI Privacy Plus, but was told by a recording that because of the call volume it would be better to call back later.
