National City Mortgage once charged us a late fee, not because they didn't receive our payment on time but because they didn't know what to do with the check. There had always been plenty of money in the bank to cover the check, and a look at a scan of it showed that it was in order and included not only our name and address but also our mortgage number.

That wasn't the first time that National City Mortgage had made a serious mistake. During the application process they were going to call an end to everything because they said that we hadn't furnished them a certain form, but included with their letter was that very form, already filled out.

Their name: Paul R. Gallagher Jr.

Their relationship to the company: Consumer Suggestion

Rebuttal:

NCM company has forced me to drop them for the following reasons:

1 - PMI went from 80/20 to 75/25 - against the law!

2 - requirement to maintain 18 months of escrow - against the law!

3 - false advertising - upon closing all escrow will be mailed within "5 to 10" busines days -

I closed on 3 Dec 01 as of 28 Dec they still have my escrow, will not reslease until after the first of the month, they want to get their interest but will not pay me any interst!

National City Mortagage pushed my house to foreclosure

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Friday, December 21, 2001

They filed the following rebuttal to the above Rip-Off Report:

Their email: Specialbizlady@aol.com

Their name: Rocelyn

Their relationship to the company: Consumer Suggestion

Rebuttal:

National City Mortagage pushed my house to foreclosure on a FHA loan. I sent the necessary paperwork why I got behind. They said they did not get

it. Everytime I called I got a voice-mail inwhich I left a message. They did not return my calls. Not only when I had to go to court they used a Juvenile court Judge to make the decision to foreclose without the court reveiwing my documents. I could resume payments and had the rest put

behind my 30 year mortgage.
