National General Insurance Unlawful and sleezy business practices Amherst, NY Nationwide

 My $52K truck was struck while parked in front of my home. This company represents a young lady who admitted backing into the truck. Damage estimate was $2600. This company had the audacity to contact my wife (without my knowlege) and tell her they were sending her software to load in her phone and that she should photograph the truck and send it to them. She did not know any better. They came back with an offer to settle for less than half of what my repair shop quoted. They then attempted to steer her away from our shop and told her they had a shop right down the street from our shop and they would do a great job on the truck for what they are offering to pay. This is a violation of New York state law. My collision shop has been in business 40 years and has a great reputation. They have done our work for 25 years and I would not go anywhere else. I told these people not to call us again and I'm filing a complaint with the state and filing a small claim lawsuit against their insured for my damages and rental car. If you are insured by these people, you're well advised to look elsewhere for coverage. If you are damaged by one of their insured, brace yourself to have your time wasted and a possible legal fight. Take a look at the Internet employee review sites where their own people bash them. They're brutal!
