On 4/21/08 we received a phone call in our corporate office from National Imaging Systems Inc requesting payment of a past due invoice. I was unfamiliar with the company and told Susie we had no record of a PO number for her company and could she provide one. It is our company policy not to pay ANY invoices without the proper authorization. She said she only had the name of the person that placed the order. I told her to fax me a copy of the invoice and I would investigate.

When I received the copy of the invoice dated 11/14/07 and saw that the PO number was Verbal I knew then we had not placed the order. I went ahead and contacted the person on the ship to address to inquire as to what he knew about this. He immediately repeated the conversation he had with the telemarketer about a free trial offer. Even though there was a signed proof of delivery, it is not the persons signature. The name signed is that of a woman that was on maternity leave at the time of the delivery. He also could not verify if we ever got the cartridge either. At that point I realized it was probably a scam and searched the web for any info I could find. The Ripoff Report came up immediately.

I called and informed Susie of my discovery and told her we would not be paying her bogus invoice and to remove it from her system. She said we would pay it or she would turn it over to the credit bureau. I told her I was immediately reporting her to the Better Business Bureau and it would be a cold day in HELL when she received payment from us.
