I thought that I should share the correspondance that i was forced to send to the national sales manager at the Neptune Society...

Last week, in response to the
information card that I sent to The Neptune Society, (name omitted), of the Austin
office, contacted me. At the time that we made the appointment for 3:00PM
today, I stipulated that he was to call me this morning to verify our meeting.
When he arrived, I refused to speak with him because he had not phoned. He
seemed to be quite shocked and said that I must be kidding. When I said that I
most certainly was not, he replied that he had not said that he would
call, but rather that he would try. Things deteriorated from there,
with him spouting what a shame it was that I was depriving my loved ones of the
best possible plan and on and on, and my telling him to get the #$%& out of
here.  He objected to my rather colorful language and indicated that if I didnt stop it, there might be some
kind of altercation. I said that I would be more than happy to participate, but
by then, he had left my property. We both continued to scream at one another as
he walked down the road to his car.

Even if I concede to being the
biggest a*s-hole in the world, that does not give him the right
to behave in such an atrocious manner. Perhaps he has lost sight of the fact
that most, I think, of the people who have to contact you are in an unknown and
awkward stage of pre-grief.   Better,
I think, to lose the sale and walk away than to antagonize a person who is,
most probably, already quite distraught due to unexpected and overwhelming
circumstances.

It seems to me that this (name omitted) guy
would be more suited to a sales career on a used car lot, but if you feel that
he accurately represents your company, I suppose theres really nothing left to
be said.

Response from sales manager

AUTHOR: JayBee - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 11, 2011

While away from my phone, I received a voice-mail from (name omitted). It simply said "It's Joe" and left a phone number... A quick search showed that the number was registered as "American Coastal Adventures".

So, Neptune Society is allegedly headquartered in Florida... but the sales manager's real job seems to be producing fishing videos on the Texas gulf coast.

Wow, that speaks volumes...

My advice to anyone even thinking of conducting business with them:   RUN AWAY... FAR FAR AWAY!!!
