After 10 yrs with AT&T, and after the hype from Nextel, I thought they could be a god provider. At first the phones seemed OK, but after about a month, service was poor at best, dropped calls, no service in the city or at my home.

So, I began my customer service calls, I was told must be a network issue, trouble ticket issues and i was guaranteed a call in 72 Hrs, no call, so I repeated my concerns again, and again and again and AGAIN. No inprovements and no returns on my V/M to the supervisors. And finally when they did call, they called my cell phone which of course did not work, and left me a V/M. Note: told them not ot call the phone.

Finally, I requested temination, but THEY said I would owe $400 for the two phones. I asked to have this escluated, so I spoke to finance, a nice young lady understood, and said the early temination would be waived because of the poor service issues, and I would not be charged.

I got this month's bill and I was charged, and after calling for an explaination, I was told that it was overruled by someone else, which is part of their process. Problem is the nice young lady never informed me of that, ever during our conversation.
ISSUE: Nextel could not provide the service they agreed to provide, they broke their part of the contract, Nextel told me they would waive the early termination fee, they lied.

Nextel told me I had to eat the phones, about $400.00, I did. Now they want me to pay a $400.00 fee to punish me for making a bad decision to go with a provider who can't deliver what they promise, for what. Isn't it bad enough I'm out for the phones, and where does the $400 go, is this how they show increased profits, or is there a special fund for "Another Consumer Ripoff"
I agree I had 15 days to evaluate, had some issues but figured it was a short term problem. I only had the service another 30 days before I began to complain, and with no satisfacion or resolve to my problem.
