I have been with Nextel for only a few months and have spending limit on the phone contract. The first bill I received was 6 days after I paid for the phone and paid the deposit and was due within 10 days and was over my spending limit, how this happened in only 6 days is way out of my depth and no one there could come up with anything but service fee, service fee, which I might add i didnt see in the contract listed by these names or terms.

The next bill I got was 4 days after they turned off my phone and was again some high amount over my spending limit and this time when I called them they informed me I had over $50 in charges to some place called MQube 599 and when I asked what this was all they could say was some internet place that charges to enhance yor cell phone messages? I am an older lady who wouldn't even know how to use such things and certainly didn't use them!

I later found numerous things via the internet for this exact name for the same kind of rip of charges and Nextel would not work with me in any way to find out what happened and how it happened and said all tehy could do to prevent further charges like this was to block my internet service on my phone. What?

I do know I kept getting this text message and since they all come with a number only title you had to click on it and when it opened it was some funmobile thng that charged $5.99 to $9.99 for downloadable games and this is what I was charged on the bill, those amounts to this place and I did not do anything more then open the text mesage and read it and was charged those amounts!

Does anyone else have any such thing that has happened to them like this from this place or has Nextel refused to help you do anything about it and is this their normal customer service dealings?

The same thing happened to me

AUTHOR: Ardonna - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, August 02, 2006

It's strange that you say this. The same thing happened to me and my boyfriend. I think that somehow someone got a list of nextel phone numbers and are just spamming away. I got the issue resolved though. I contacted nextel and told them about what was happening. They transfered me to tech support and what they did is they went to the mQube website and unsubscribed my phone number. I provided the tech with my email address and I received a email from the mQube company that gave me instructions of how to complete the process. mQube is not a service itself, it is just a server that companies use to conduct their business. Nextel had nothing to do with the charges. It's horrible that you not only get spam on your computer, but now you get it on your phone too!
